The Grassland Restoration and Stewardship in South Africa (GRASS) is the first carbon project in South Africa registered under Verra’s VM0042 methodology. This instance of the project is designed to promote, scale up and incentivize the adoption of regenerative grazing techniques amongst the communal farmers of South Africa and has 262 000 hectares under management.
This instance of the Grassland Restoration and Stewardship in South Africa (GRASS) project is designed to build soil health and improve the long term productivity and resilience of grazing lands on privately owned farms and currently has 40 000 hectares under management.
TASC’s first project in Zimbabwe was registered and operated in partnership with Rift Valley, a local agribusiness. Over 70 000 cookstoves have been distributed in rural areas.
