The TASC Foundation has been incorporated to administer community funds generated from TASC’s carbon mitigation projects. Its purpose is to ensure that available funds are distributed to projects which serves the needs of communities involved in TASC carbon projects in an accountable, transparent and effective way.

TASC Foundation SA (NPC) is governed by a Board of Directors consisting of two senior members of TASC management with integral knowledge of TASC’s operations, together with an independent third Director with significant experience within non-profit organisations. The Foundation seeks to ensure that local communities benefit directly and practically from the distribution of funds and that the integrity requirements of the TASC group in terms of transparency, accountability and efficacy are always met. The NPC has a robust financial management system in place which tracks the inflow of community allocated funding from carbon mitigation projects and the outflow to beneficiary communities. TASC bears all the corporate costs of the Foundation so that 100% of allocated funds go to community projects.

The TASC Foundation is eligible to issue Section 18A Certificates which will allow a donor to claim an input deduction for VAT as well as a tax deduction for income tax purposes. Donations can also qualify as Socio-Economic Development contributions for the purposes of BBBEE compliance.
